Meeting in Noordwijk
At the European Space Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC) in the Netherlands, the assigned crew of the Artemis II mission held a meeting with experts from the European Space Agency responsible for the European Service Module. Discussions focused on the current status of the module and the upcoming lunar flyby.

The four astronauts are set to orbit the Moon aboard the Orion spacecraft. The European Service Module provides propulsion, power, water and oxygen for the crew capsule and is supplied by ESA with support from European industry partners.
The ESA team appeared together with the international crew for a photograph, with the astronauts in front and the module specialists behind them. Such encounters help build confidence between manufacturers and future operators of the vehicles.
Artemis II is planned as the first crewed flight of the Orion system and the SLS rocket and is intended to pave the way for later lunar landings under the Artemis programme.
