Astranis unveils geostationary surveillance satellite
Astranis has presented a new spacecraft intended for operation in geostationary orbit.
The satellite is built to inspect, track and perform maneuvers near other satellites residing in the GEO belt.
Its capabilities include close observation of neighboring objects and executing orbital adjustments to maintain separation or conduct approaches.
Astranis says the system will contribute to space situational awareness and help protect critical space infrastructure.
