Galaxia Acquires Simera Sense HyperScape100 Hyperspectral Imager
On September 3, 2026, European optical payload provider Simera Sense announced that Canadian space technology company Galaxia has acquired its HyperScape100 hyperspectral imaging instrument.
Simera Sense is based in Leuven, Belgium, while Galaxia operates from Halifax, Canada. The HyperScape100 is designed to capture detailed spectral data of Earth's surface from orbit.
The acquisition marks a step forward in Galaxia’s Earth observation strategy, enhancing its ability to deliver high‑resolution spectral imagery for scientific, environmental and commercial users.
