Discovery Beyond Neptune
The Hubble and James Webb space telescopes have jointly identified 27 previously unknown small bodies located far outside the orbit of Neptune.
Each observatory examined the same region of the outer Solar System, and their independent measurements converged on the same set of faint signals that point to these distant objects.
The newly detected items are characterized by their diminutive size and extreme distance from the Sun, making them observable only with the most sensitive detectors available on the spacecraft.
