View of an active star-forming region
On July 3, 2026, NASA's Hubble Space Telescope recorded the region LH 95, where stars are being born. The view is dominated by a deep red glow from gas, against which bright stars in shades of blue and white stand out.
LH 95 is known as a stellar nursery, a zone where young stars form from interstellar material. The blue and white objects appear sharply contrasted with the red glowing background produced by excited gas.
