Sensor Development for Polar Observation
Engineers at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in Southern California have this month trialed a novel spacecraft sensor designed to quantify the rate at which Arctic sea ice is diminishing. The prototype remains in testing and is slated for launch no earlier than next year.
