Accession to US-led space agreement
The Republic of Serbia has formally added its signature to the Artemis Accords. Through this step, the Southeast European state becomes part of the initiative coordinated by the United States that promotes the peaceful and transparent use of outer space.
Interval since Chinese lunar project
Serbia's adherence to the US-led framework comes more than two years after the country had announced its involvement in a lunar base effort advanced by China. The move places Serbia in relation to two distinct international approaches to future lunar activity.
