New Vertical Exhibit of Space Shuttle Endeavour
Following the completion of 25 space missions, Space Shuttle Endeavour is now on view in a newly designed exhibition at the California Science Center in Los Angeles.
The display presents the orbiter in a vertical orientation, mimicking its launch position on the pad, to give visitors a realistic sense of ascent.
The museum emphasizes an educational mission, using interactive panels and multimedia to explain the shuttle’s technical features and its role in the Space Shuttle Program.
Endeavour flew its final missions in 2011 before being transferred to the California Science Center for permanent display. The vertical layout was chosen after extensive engineering and design work to ensure structural integrity and safety.
By offering a perspective not previously shown, the exhibit aims to increase public fascination with spaceflight and inspire future generations to pursue science and technology.
