Complete engine test of the Super Heavy booster
SpaceX conducted a static fire in which all 33 Raptor engines of the Super Heavy booster were ignited simultaneously. The test took place at the Starbase facility in Boca Chica, Texas, and lasted several seconds before the engines were shut down.
Purpose of the test
The objective is to validate the performance and integration of the engines before the booster is used for the upcoming Starship mission, Flight 13. A successful run is required for the launch, which could occur as early as next week.
