Tesla has made its latest Full Self-Driving software, version v14 ‘Lite’, available for cars that use the Hardware 3 or AI 3 chip. These older models have previously been unable to run the most recent driver‑assistance updates.
The rollout began last night as part of the company’s Early Access Program, allowing eligible owners to activate the update and gain access to a subset of the newest features.
While the Lite edition omits some advanced capabilities found in the full v14 release, it retains core functions such as adaptive cruise control, automatic lane changes, and enhanced traffic‑jam assistance, all of which are compatible with the existing hardware.
