Product launch
Vantor, formerly known as Maxar Intelligence, announced the rollout of WorldView 3D on July 1. The service is designed to provide clients with continuously updated, high‑definition satellite imagery, bridging the gap between traditional remote sensing and near‑real‑time data delivery.
Technical capabilities and uses
WorldView 3D combines data from multiple Earth‑observation satellites, achieving a ground resolution of up to 30 cm per pixel. Frequent revisit cycles enable image refreshes ranging from daily to weekly intervals, supporting applications such as infrastructure monitoring, disaster response, and detailed mapping.
Market positioning and target users
The offering is aimed at sectors with rising demand for timely geospatial information, including urban planning, agriculture, and defense. Integration with existing analytics platforms is intended to allow rapid data exploitation for operational decision‑making.
Future development
Vantor indicated that WorldView 3D will be continuously enhanced to increase revisit frequency and add additional spectral bands. The company plans to expand coverage to new regions and to forge partnerships with government agencies and private enterprises over the next few years.
