Funding round completed
Space‑transport startup ElevationSpace Inc., led by CEO Ryohei Kobayashi, announced that it has raised $40 million in a Series B financing round from private investors. The new capital lifts the company’s total funding to $63.5 million.
Technological focus
The firm is developing a space‑to‑Earth cargo transport system and a platform for utilizing and recovering resources in low‑Earth orbit. The additional funds will accelerate prototype development and shorten the testing timeline for these technologies.
Future plans
Using the fresh capital, ElevationSpace intends to expand launch and retrieval infrastructure and deepen collaborations with satellite operators and research institutions. The company aims to conduct its first commercial missions by 2028.
Market positioning
This financing strengthens ElevationSpace’s standing in the emerging market for orbital logistics and resource utilization, a sector attracting interest from both governmental agencies and private investors.
