Recovered booster arrives at port
The People’s Republic of China recently attained a notable milestone in reusable spaceflight. For the first time, a Chinese launch vehicle booster was successfully recovered, accomplished through retrieval from the sea. LandSpace eyes landing on land
Even as the recovered booster was lifted from the water, the private space company LandSpace has outlined a more ambitious objective. The firm is aiming for the next development step: a first controlled landing of a stage on solid ground within China. Such land recovery is regarded as a more efficient approach because it could remove the need for complex maritime recovery assets.
