Funding pledges for UK‑Florida space cooperation
The British government and Space Florida have each pledged $200,000 to support joint research, innovation and commercialization activities in the space sector. This brings the total commitment to $400,000.
The funds are earmarked for studies and technology demonstrations that address both civil and commercial space applications. Priority areas include new propulsion concepts, satellite platforms and ground‑segment systems.
Both sides stress that the partnership will accelerate knowledge exchange, enhance the competitiveness of their respective space industries and be administered through a joint oversight board with representatives from each party.
