New Senior Advisor for National Security
The Commercial Space Federation (CSF) announced that Matthew Williams will serve as its Senior Advisor for National Security. Williams brings extensive experience from his tenure as Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense and as Chief of Staff to the Defense Secretary.
In this capacity, he will focus on aligning the commercial space sector with U.S. security priorities, helping to streamline regulatory frameworks and deepen cooperation between industry players and federal agencies.
Williams previously held senior positions at the Pentagon, overseeing programs that integrated emerging technologies into national defense. His expertise is expected to be especially valuable on issues such as satellite utilization, space situational awareness, and emerging threats from space.
