NASA announced that it has awarded SpaceX three additional crewed missions to the International Space Station (ISS). The award comes as part of a contract modification that extends and expands the existing partnership between the agency and the commercial provider.
The new flights are intended to maintain regular crew transportation to the ISS after current contracts expire, ensuring a continuous U.S. presence on the orbiting laboratory without gaps in the schedule.
SpaceX will use its proven Crew Dragon spacecraft, which has been routinely transporting astronauts to the ISS since 2020. The vehicle has completed numerous successful missions and is regarded as one of the safest systems for commercial human spaceflight.
By extending the contract, NASA demonstrates confidence in the commercial space industry and relies on trusted partners to support the objectives of the Artemis program and the ongoing utilization of the ISS.
