Funding to Enter the United States
Polish space technology firm Sybilla Technologies has obtained financing of approximately 35 million zloty (about US$10 million). The investment comes from the state‑owned development bank BGK and the European venture capital group 3TS Capital Partners.
Purpose of the Capital
The funds will be used to establish a U.S. subsidiary and to market the company’s satellite communications and data‑processing services abroad. Sybilla aims to expand its footprint in the global space sector and tap into the growing demand for small‑satellite solutions in the United States.
Strategic Importance for Poland
BGK’s involvement highlights Poland’s strategy to bolster its domestic space industry and promote export‑oriented growth. Supporting startups like Sybilla is intended to increase technological sovereignty and create high‑skill jobs within the country.
Future Outlook
The investors anticipate that Sybilla Technologies will commence operations in the United States within the next two years. Successful market entry could serve as a blueprint for other Polish firms seeking international expansion.
