Space Force Awards $250 Million to All Points Logistics
The United States Space Force has announced a $250 million contract with All Points Logistics to expand satellite processing capabilities at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California.
The award comes under the Commercial Solutions Opening program, which seeks to partner with private firms to enhance infrastructure for satellite inspection, testing, fueling and integration with launch vehicles.
All Points Logistics is the third company to be selected under this initiative, following two earlier awardees whose facilities are already supporting launch operations.
The new facilities will enable the company to receive satellites, perform thorough inspections, conduct functional tests, load propellants and prepare the spacecraft for mating with rockets before launch.
Officials say the investment will increase throughput at Vandenberg, reduce processing timelines and support the growing demand for both national security and commercial launches from the West Coast.
In addition to the technical upgrades, All Points Logistics expects the expansion to create several hundred new jobs and engage local suppliers in the supply chain.
Construction of the additional processing halls is slated to begin in the second half of 2025, with operational capability anticipated by early 2026.
