On Tuesday, July 21, a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket lifted off from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California, carrying 24 Starlink satellites into low Earth orbit.
The launch came just one day after an earlier launch attempt was aborted. SpaceX did not disclose the specific reason for the abort, but confirmed that both the rocket and its payload remained intact.
The 24 satellites are part of the Starlink constellation, which aims to provide global broadband coverage. After separation, the satellites will use their own ion thrusters to raise to their operational orbits.
