The Super Heavy-Starship rocket launched from SpaceX's Starbase facility in Texas at 5:51 p.m. EDT. The vehicle is powered by 33 methane-fueled Raptor engines, which together produced the thrust needed for liftoff.
Standing approximately 407 feet tall (about 124 meters), the rocket generated roughly 16 million pounds of thrust during ascent. This force enabled a rapid vertical climb that was visible to residents and tourists in the surrounding area. The launch created a bright flame and a loud acoustic signature that could be heard across the site.
