Regulatory clearance in Denmark
On 9 June, Denmark's transport authority granted approval for Tesla's Full Self-Driving (Supervised) system, marking the country as the fourth in Europe to permit the supervised version of the technology.
Preceding approvals
The Netherlands, Lithuania and Estonia were the first three European states to receive similar authorisations, and the system is already being rolled out to customers there.
Planned rollout
Tesla intends to deliver the update to eligible Danish vehicles in the coming weeks via its standard over‑the‑air update mechanism, mirroring deployments in other markets.
Technical conditions
Full Self-Driving (Supervised) remains a driver‑assist feature that requires the driver to stay ready to take control at any moment. The Danish approval is contingent on strict safety and data‑privacy requirements that have been vetted by national regulators.
European outlook
The Danish decision may encourage additional European countries to consider similar applications. Tesla has indicated it will continue to work closely with regulators across the continent.
