First Analyst Coverage for SpaceX
Wedbush Securities, a U.S. brokerage firm, has begun formal equity research coverage of SpaceX (NASDAQ: SPCX), marking the inaugural analyst commentary since the company's public listing a few weeks ago.
The coverage is being led by analyst Dan Ives, who is also noted for his bullish stance on Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA). Ives, a long‑time advocate of Elon Musk’s ventures, announced the initiation of the report in a recent statement.
In his opening note, Ives highlighted SpaceX’s growth prospects, citing reusable launch technology, the expanding Starlink satellite constellation, and upcoming lunar and Mars missions. He also pointed to rising demand for commercial launch services and the strategic importance of Starlink for future revenue streams.
While Wedbush has not yet disclosed a price target, it is expected that a more detailed valuation will follow as additional financial data become available.
The IPO represents a major milestone for SpaceX, which previously relied heavily on private capital. Public listing provides new investment avenues but also introduces reporting obligations and regulatory scrutiny.
